Our work includes:

• Monitoring the developmen of systems for data collection tracking.
• Evaluation of the effectiveness of programs, organizations and initiatives, including the development of indicators, benchmarks, and logic models based on theory of change principles
• Needs assessments/asset mappings of communities and health systems
• Development and implementation of innovative programs and strategies to address complex community and health care needs including prevention
• Capacity-building workshops and technical assistance on organizational development (e.g., board and staff development, organizational self-assessment, data capability and technology requirements, financial management)

MATRIX conducted a three year longitudinal study of the PACK Initiative (Parents & Communities for Kids) for the Community Foundation of Greater New Haven. This conmmunity change initiative revealed the positive benefits to children and their families when provided with high-quality, creative, out-of-school learning opportunities. Its novelty was in the use of arts and cultural organizations to facilitate family learning.
